Hi, I’m Nadine
I’m a parent coach dedicating my life to supporting parents through really tough parenting journeys. This is my contribution to creating a world that works for everyone. I believe that with compassionate, neuroscience-informed support any parent can learn to hold even the most challenging parenting environments with a presence that brings healing and peace.
My own parenting journey started off feeling really hard with a foster child who had many big, baffling behaviors. I piled up lots of regrets as I tried to parent a child I was woefully underprepared to parent. When they left our home I was left with a lot of pain and confusion so I started reading everything I could about developmental trauma. And then our four foster-to-adopt kids moved in and I struggled to implement even a sliver of what I read and forgot most of it as I drowned in overwhelm. Thankfully I was supported by a wonderful parent consultant but after my children were adopted I was no longer eligible for that program. I floundered. It was the pandemic. I was stuck in generational patterns of reward and punishment, judgements, shoulds, and insecure attachment styles. I was flipping my lid and had a big protective watchdog brain showing up daily.
Things are still hard in my family, maybe even just as hard, if I were still the person I was. I’m not. I’ve been privileged to receive incredible support in the form of instruction, coaching, spiritual direction, and encouragement. All that I offer to you is a culmination of my years of learning and growth and I offer it from a place of really getting what it’s like to parent kids with vulnerable nervous systems.

I believe the key to holding the tough stuff lies within.
When we build our internal strength we are able to hold more. Unpleasant stimulus, that previously pushed us out of our window of tolerance, is now within our capacity to hold with tenderness and non-judgement. Building this internal capacity doesn’t guarantee everything to be easy (or if it does, I’m not there yet) but it can make the things previously seeming totally impossible more possible. This is the journey I’m on. This is the journey I long to support you in taking.
